Liz Hobbs Group has been selected to provide the entertainment for the UK's first dedicated mud running festival in 2015!
Airfield Anarchy hosts Newark's very own obstacle race, a growing trend, and one not for the faint hearted. In the UK and throughout the world more and more people are testing their physical and mental endurance taking part in obstacle races pushing themselves to the limit.
Airfield Anarchy, in its second year, is based on an old WW2 airfield attracting people of all ages and fitness levels. The course will be littered with stamina challenging obstacles. The two day event kicks off on 13th June 2015 with an estimated 6,000 runners set to tackle a 5km and 10km route, with the addition of the uber-tough 10 mile extended course for those who are still standing. Expect to wade through mud pits, attempt the arm wrenching monkey bars, scramble through nets and overcome walls you didn't think were possible. This year, you can be part of the UK's first mud running festival weekend featuring free camping, parking, and entertainment with headline acts and goodie bags not to be missed.
Airfield Anarchy has partnered up with Liz Hobbs Group (LHG) to deliver the first mud running festival to celebrate reaching the finish line. Liz Doogan – Hobbs MBE, no stranger to endurance challenges as World Champion water skier says "We are very excited to be working with Airfield Anarchy on creating a fantastic festival event for the runners and spectators to enjoy – especially in our home town of Newark. These races give people the opportunity to do something out of the ordinary be it for their own personal satisfaction or for their chosen charity".
LHG are pleased to announce the headline artist performing next summer will be Toploader, with a string of hits like "Dancing in the Moonlight" to their credit. The 4 guys from Eastbourne began their career playing with the likes of Coldplay and Muse with their funky blues-rock sounds are guaranteed to get you up on your muddy feet in no time. Alongside the headline entertainment there will also be music from a BBC Introducing stage showcasing new up and coming talent to get your festival atmosphere started.
