The Barcode Warehouse have confirmed their commitment to the Newark Festival as headline partners of the 2016 Event. The Newark based company are the first sponsors to join the 2016 party and in doing so have once again showed their support to what is sure to be an excellent weekend of music fun and food! As silver partners in 2015, they have this year increased the level of their involvement after recognising the positive impact the festival has on the local community and their own workforce. The Barcode Warehouse employs over 200 staff from the local area and it was important for them to once again join forces to showcase their engagement with both the Newark public and their employees.
Joanne Lee, Customer Services Director said, "The Barcode Warehouse is a local Newark company hiring local Newark people. It makes perfect sense to support a local Newark event like the Newark Festival in this way. We were delighted to work with Liz Hobbs Group and the Newark Town Council in 2015 as Silver partners and it was the natural next step to lend even more support and become Gold and Headline Partners in 2016."
Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, CEO of Liz Hobbs Group said, "We are currently talking to a number of local companies who are keen to support this premier local event, and it is fantastic that The Barcode Warehouse lead the way once again. I would urge other local businesses to get in touch to see if we can work together on the Newark Festival which would firmly strengthen their roots in the local community. Over 20,000 people visited the town over this event last year so there is so much opportunity to feel the benefits of being involved."
Following the launch of Newark Festival in October, the Newark public has been snapping tickets up in their hundreds with record tickets sales being reported in the first three weeks of sale which has meant that the Early Bird Ticket Offer has now been extended to 5pm on 24th December.
Back for the 5th year running, the now well established three day festival at the Riverside Park in view of Newark Castle, presents as its highlight a strong 80's Night featuring Spandau Ballet's and I'm A Celebrity's own Tony Hadley, ABC, Bananarama and Midge Ure (from Ultravox) on Saturday 18 June 2016.
Friday 17 June is Fake Friday and if you love the music of Bon Jovi, Foo Fighters, The Killers and Arctic Monkeys then this night is for you when the UK's best tribute bands for these artists take over Riverside Park.
And Sunday 19 June sees the return of the ever growing Free Family Day at Riverside Park and across the town, with a day full of entertainment, food and drink for all the family and the evening becoming a more musical 'Swing in the Park' Concert.
